A gathering of developers with an interest in developing for Windows Phone and Windows 8.
Why
There’s been a stir of activity from Redmond lately with the build up to Windows 8, announcement of the new Surface tablet and the recent reveals of the new Windows Phone 8. We thought it would be cool to bring a number of like-minded developers together to discuss the platforms, share experiences and find out more about the future of Microsoft technologies.

We’re not sure exactly what the exact format will be but there will be plenty of relaxed discussion, some presentations about developer experiences and some dedicated time to hack. We’ll confirm a more detailed schedule as we finalise things. No doubt Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 will be a key area for discussion and we’re working on getting someone from Microsoft involved too.

The lovely folk at Redweb have recently built a fantastic meeting space which is ideal for events such as this. We’re extremely grateful to them for offering for us to use this fantastic facility. It’s just a stone’s throw from Bournemouth station so even those not local will have no problem getting here.

For those not wanting the fun to end, we’ll be having dinner at The Fountain Chinese restaurant opposite the venue and everyone is welcome to come along.
Who
Windows Phone Dev Day is the brainchild of Scott Lovegrove and Dan Thomas who got tired of trekking up to London for such events. If you want to be involved or can help with organising, presenting or anything else get in touch.
