Windows Phone Dev Day is a FREE, one day mini-conference for anyone with an interest in Windows Phone.

Last year, tired of the trek up to London, we decided to put on our own event to see if there was much interest in a local Windows Phone event. We’re pleased to say it was a resounding success and so this year we want to do the same bigger and better! Read about WPDD 2012.

Slowly but surely, Windows Phone has been gaining more traction and since our last gathering the platform has evolved a version and a myriad of new devices have become available. We’ve managed to lure some of the biggest and brightest from the world of Windows Phone down to Bournemouth on the promise of Sun, Sea, Sand and geekiness.

10:00 – Registration
10:30 – Introductions
10:45 – Dave Crawford – Designing for Windows Phone
11:45 – Matt Lacey – Coming to Windows Phone from other platforms
12:45 – Lunch
14:00 – James Mundy – AppCampus
15:00 – Alan Mendelovic – Promotion and monetisation
16:00 – Dave Hamilton – Building for Windows Phone and Windows 8
17:00 – Richard Conway – Windows Azure Mobile Services

Once again, the lovely folk at Redweb have agreed to give us free rein of their amazing Loading Bar for the day. We’re extremely grateful to them for offering for us to use this fantastic facility. It’s just a stone’s throw from Bournemouth station so even those not local will have no problem getting here.

Windows Phone Dev Day is the brainchild of Scott Lovegrove and Dan Thomas who got tired of trekking up to London for such events. If you want to be involved or can help with organising, presenting or anything else get in touch.
