Is Windows Phone a viable business platform?

The Windows Phone platform has been growing slowly but surely over the past few years, but is it yet a viable platform for enterprising start-ups and can it provide a financially viable business model?

We intend to find out at this year’s Windows Phone Developer day with some real world examples of businesses making their mark on the platform.

Dave Hamilton runs Pepper, a live music social network which started out on Windows Phone and has recently ported to iPhone as well. Dave will share his experiences of building for Windows Phone and Windows 8 and sharing assets between platforms.

Alan Mendelevich is the founder of AdDuplex a cross-promotion platform for Windows Phone and Windows 8. Alan will be sharing his insights into promotion and monetisation of apps.

James Mundy successfully navigated the AppCampus funding program to help with the launch of his app Foundbite. James will be sharing details on the program and how it’s helped him get to where he is today.
